Morris Laundry is a growing laundromat company focused on clean stores, strong customer service, wash-dry-fold operations, and high operational standards.
This is not a desk job. This is a hands-on leadership position. Managers are expected to lead by example, assist customers, maintain store standards, train employees, and ensure daily operations run smoothly.
We strongly prefer candidates with management experience in fast food, retail, convenience stores, hospitality, customer service, or other high-volume environments.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead and supervise attendants during assigned shifts
Hold employees accountable to company standards
Train new employees on procedures and expectations
Coach employees on customer service and productivity
Ensure all assigned tasks are completed correctly and on time
Address employee performance issues and report concerns to ownership
Scheduling & Staffing
Assist with employee scheduling
Help coordinate shift coverage when employees call out
Monitor attendance and punctuality
Verify employees are clocking in and out properly
Communicate staffing needs to ownership
Payroll & Reporting
Verify employee time records for accuracy
Review attendance and hours worked
Submit payroll information to ownership
Maintain daily operational reports
Track employee performance and task completion
Customer Service
Greet and assist customers
Resolve customer concerns professionally
Handle customer complaints and service issues
Ensure customers receive excellent service at all times
Wash-Dry-Fold Operations
Manage wash-dry-fold workflow
Ensure orders are processed accurately and on time
Verify proper tagging, washing, drying, folding, and packaging procedures
Maintain quality control standards
Cleaning & Store Standards
Managers are responsible for ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed daily, including:
Daily Cleaning Checklist
Clean washer doors and gaskets
Wipe down dryer fronts and tops
Empty lint screens and lint traps
Clean folding tables
Sweep and mop floors
Clean restrooms
Empty trash cans
Clean entrance doors and windows
Wipe vending machines
Clean customer seating areas
Maintain parking lot cleanliness
Restock restroom supplies
Restock laundry supplies
Inventory Management
Monitor detergent and supply inventory
Track restroom supplies and cleaning chemicals
Report low inventory levels
Assist with ordering supplies
Equipment Monitoring
Identify machines that are out of service
Report equipment issues promptly
Place out-of-order signage when necessary
Follow company procedures for machine downtime
Opening Responsibilities
Open store on time
Verify store cleanliness
Ensure all equipment is operational
Review employee assignments
Prepare wash-dry-fold area for production
Closing Responsibilities
Verify all cleaning tasks are completed
Ensure wash-dry-fold orders are completed
Secure cash and paperwork
Complete end-of-shift reports
Lock and secure the facility
Qualifications
Preferred:
Management experience
Fast food management experience
Retail management experience
Convenience store management experience
Customer service leadership experience
Required:
Reliable transportation
Ability to work weekends
Ability to work evenings when needed
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout shifts
Strong communication skills
Ability to pass a background check
